Ann Arbor
There’s really no place like Ann Arbor. A distinguished arts environment, fine dining and funky dives, bookstores for all tastes, exceptional public schools, and a diverse range of perspectives all combine to create a unique community. Ann Arbor is always mentioned when the conversation turns to America’s great university towns.
What makes Ann Arbor so attractive is its versatility. This is the hometown of global giants Domino’s Pizza and ProQuest, as well as world-famous Zingerman’s Deli, the Ann Arbor Art Fairs, Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger, and the historic Michigan Theater. It is a community equally embraced by investors, parents, retirees, business owners, scientists, foodies, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Down the road is metropolitan Detroit, replete with cars, culture, and cuisine. An amazing diversity of customs and ethnicities make Motown a fascinating place for the arts, festivals, music, and shopping.
How do we rate?
Pretty well, actually:
- The Daily Beast named Ann Arbor the 5th happiest city and the 6th most creative city.
- Parenting Magazine named us the 10th best city for education.
- And the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers were ranked 17th overall by US News & World Report; the report also ranked UMHHC #4 in pediatrics: heart and heart surgery.
