Michigan Commons

Michigan Commons serves as a centralized hub for a wide variety of content: images, templates, graphics, and video to enhance your communication projects. With options to either search or browse a selection of curated galleries, Michigan Commons is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our communicators across the University of Michigan. Content includes both exclusive materials created expressly for Michigan Commons by OVPC, as well as a selection of university-wide content created by members of U-M’s Digital Asset Collaborative (DAC).

In addition to a video tutorial, Michigan Commons includes tips for searching effectively, as well as information about how to share images, understand metadata rights, and usage.

New content will be continuously added to Michigan Commons. We invite you to explore the site and leverage its many resources and offer feedback and suggestions as to how we can expand our content to better meet your needs. Your input and engagement are vital to the success of the Michigan Commons, and we are eager to see the creative and impactful work that will emerge.

Please feel free to reach out to our team at umdigital@umich.edu for any questions about Michigan Commons.

Note: You do not need to be a DAC member in order to use Michigan Commons, it is open to all U-M community members.

If your unit is not a DAC member and would like to learn more about this free service for managing digital photos, videos, graphics, and other marketing materials created by your team, please write dac-questions@umich.edu.
