Senior Director of Finance and Organizational Strategy

Talisha joins the Office of the Vice President for Communications (OVPC) after serving as the Director of HR and Finance for Michigan Public, where she managed the financial operations and strategic planning. In her current role, she works in close partnership with the VP for Communications, ensuring OVPC’s financial stewardship and organizational strategy align with the university’s mission and values.

Talisha has 18 years of experience at the University of Michigan. For nine of those years, she held the position of Chief Administrator at the College of Literature Science and the Arts (LSA), where she managed the Department of Linguistics and The Weinberg Institute for Cognitive Science. Her contributions extended beyond administration as she served on LSA’s executive-level hiring team and leadership advisory committee. Talisha’s journey at the university began in 2006 as an Administrative & Grants Specialist at the Economic Growth Institute of the Office of the Vice President for Government Relations, following several years as a Senior Auditor at KPMG.

Talisha earned her BS in Business Administration, with an Accounting Concentration, at Wayne State University. She also holds an MBA specializing in Human Resource Management from Walsh College. Talisha holds a Post Master’s Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Michigan and is a certified HR Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
