As an extension of "U-M's Expect Respect" initiative, a freedom of speech campaign was launched in fall 2016. Print and digital marketing materials, news, social media, PR and presidential communications were used to encourage meaningful discussion, raise awareness about the value of freedom of speech and educate about U-M resources.
View the postersThe university created a special award for its 200th year to honor 20 people whose work and contributions after leaving U-M embody the breadth and excellence of the university. The U-M Bicentennial Alumni Awards were promoted through articles, HTML emails, the gateway and social media contributing to 145 alumni nominations.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan launch video was created to capture the series of events in October 2016 announcing U-M’s five-year strategic plan, “Many Voices, One Michigan.” It features U-M leadership, students, faculty and staff discussing their hopes for the future of diversity, equity and inclusion at U-M.
